Troubleshooting steps if you don't see upsells appearing as expected

Our app is very well tested and used by many, many merchants. Below are some common issues:

Product Availability

On the product page in your Shopify Admin, check:

1) Is the product status active?

2) Is the product available in sales channel Online Store?

3) Is the product available in the market you are viewing from?

Product Sold Out

Is the product sold out? If you chose specific variants, are the variants sold out?

Trigger Restrictions

Are you using a Custom Collection as trigger?

If yes, please note that we currently support a maximum of 250 products for custom collections. Also note that changes to custom collections take up to 24h to update in our system.

Are you using a Smart Collection as trigger?

Please note that we currently do not support rules based on "metafields", "inventory quantity", "product taxonomy category". Please also note that, if you are using multiple currencies, smart collections will not work correctly for rules "price" and "compare_at_price" if a customer shops in a currency other than your base currency.

Upsell Product is also an Addon Product

EliteCart automatically removes addon products from showing as upsell products, as this would would be confusing for the consumer. (Addon products are always "hidden" in the cart and only appear in form of the checkbox). We always hide on a product-level, i.e. you cannot select a certain variant as an addon and another variant of the same product as an upsell either.
