Blocking the cart page will redirect visitors that try to access the cart page to the page they came from and open EliteCart.
This feature is activated by default, but can be deactivated as described below.
We recommend to keep this feature activated because when customers click on the cart button while they are in the checkout they will be redirected to the cart page. This would make gifts and add-ons visible to them and could even allow them to increase the quantity of their gifts. EliteCart does not control the cart page itself and therefore would not be able to prohibit these actions unless the cart page is blocked. On redirect, EliteCart will automatically open.
Similarly, emails sent out like cart recovery emails might also link to the cart and create similar potential problems.
Go to Cart Designer → Advanced Settings
Enable Block cart page
Save changes
When enabled, visiting /cart
redirects customers and opens EliteCart automatically.
